Harris Temple AME Zion Church is a community of faith rooted in the love of God, the message of Jesus Christ, and the call to serve others. Located in Camden, New Jersey, we are committed to being a place where people can encounter God, grow in faith, discover their purpose, and live out their calling.
We believe the church is more than a building. It is a people called to worship God, care for one another, serve our community, and be a visible expression of Christ's love in the world.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by proclaiming salvation, nurturing believers through worship, fellowship, and discipleship, and equipping people to serve God and others.
Everything we do flows from this mission.
Through worship, we create space for people to encounter God.
Through discipleship, we help people grow deeper in their relationship with Christ.
Through fellowship, we build relationships and cultivate a community where people can belong.
Through service, we put our faith into action and respond to the needs of our neighbors and community.
